2016 Santa Parade

Join us in the Christchurch Santa Parade

Invitation to Join

Biking Vikings and Frocks on Bikes

in the

2016 Christchurch Santa Parade

at
2:00pm Sunday, 4th December 2016

Our position this year is
SECTION:  2
 NO:  23
 SECTION LEADER:  DAVID LUXON

Ho! Ho! Ho!

This is the 70th year of the Christchurch Santa Parade so let's make it one to remember.

Another festive season is fast approaching again and with it the time to be merry is upon us. Thoughts naturally turn to the Santa Parade and our cycling float!

So keep Sunday afternoon 4th December free of other commitments.

This year we will circulate around the 4m long ICEcycles banner trailer that was seen on TV3 news in Sept 2015.
Look out for the 4m long ICECycles banner trailer.
The main point of participating is to let the audience know how wonderful and fun cycling can be. Come and experience how liberating it is to make a fool of yourself in front of 50,000 people!!

Santa Parade organisers prefer participants to dress up in a costume or fancy dress. People who prefer to come in normal clothes should decorate their bike instead.
Bart the Cart
Bart the Cart will also attend if he can be revived.
A Viking or a Frock on a Bike?
See Sir Samuel Stockwell do battle with the black knight....

Raid your Christmas tree for tinsel or the neighbour's garden for flowers. Tinsel and other decorative items will be available on the day.
A frocker on her decorated bike
Alternatively come with your novelty or unusual bike (such as a velomobile tandem or cargo bike).

Well trained pet dogs are always popular!
